In eddy current testing the most widely recognized model for axisymmetric problems is that of Dodd [3,4]. The eddy current probe is a circular air-cored coil wound with a rectangular cross-section. The conductor can have any number of layers and the geometries studied fall into two major categories: planar and coaxial cylindrical layers.
