"Groundwater Geophysics demonstrates the use of geophysics for the detection and delineation of groundwater resources. This book covers a lot of material in geophysics and does a pretty good job of it.

Besides serving as a reference book, I could see this book being used as a textbook for a groundwater geophysics course. The index at the end of the book is extensive. I think this book 5/5(1). The book ‘Groundwater Geophysics in Hard Rock’ is based on his vast experience in delineating the fracture zones in hard rocks, subsurface characterization and locating high yielding well by: 4.

The use of these methods for hydrogeological applications is demonstrated for mapping of porous aquifers, mapping of structural aquifers, determintation of groundwater quality (mineralization), geophysical assessment of hydraulic properties, determination of aquifer vulnerability, and mapping of comtaminated sites.

Geophysics, Geophysical Prospecting, Applied Geophysics, Journal of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics, Ground Water. Important publications on geophysical studies for groundwater in developing countries that sought to produce simple rules of thumb for the application of the geophysics.

“Application of surface geophysics to ground-water in vestigations” is the first chapter to be published under Section D of Book 2.

The magnetic method of geophysical ex ploration involves measurements of the direc tion, gradient, or iatensity of the Earth’s magnetic field and interpretation of varia tions in these quantities over the area of investigation. Magnetic surveys can be made on the land surface, from an aircraft, or from a ship.
